I have developed what I think is a pretty cool 11-part auto responder series that solves a critical problem people have in my niche – it includes a number of affiliate links as well (although not clickbank – yet). I currently have a squeeze page set up which I’m driving traffic to through using FB ads, but I’m finding that I’m having to pay way too much for every conversion ( > $1.50 per conversion).
- A blog goes without saying - just think of your audience - do you want to target newbies, amateurs or pros? Each one of these people will be very different and will want to see different things on the site and a different angle so try just focusing on 1 of these groups rather than trying to cater to them all. I think if you targeted newbies for example you could build a good following because you are an expert compared to them - don't know your experience enough to comment on the other two.

Don’t you just hate it when you go to a website and find out something about it is broken or hard to use? As much as it bugs you, it drives the owner of the website you’re looking at up a wall. That bad functionality and brokenness mean less sales and traffic for the site owner. It also means that website testing is a legitimate way to make money online.

Repeat business is the key. It’s a lot easier and cheaper to market to a repeat customer than it is to acquire a new one. In fact, the average business spend seven times more in marketing cost to get a new customer than it does to keep an existing one. When you’re doing hit and run affiliate marketing, what you are in fact doing is spending that 7X more money to acquire a customer for SOMEONE ELSE! Can you see now why most hit and run affiliate marketers don’t make money?
When creating a membership site, always offer different plans and pricing tiers to appeal to your different categories of audience. Access to specific types of content is then dependent on the plan selected by a member. Membership fees can be a one-off payment or a repeat subscription. And you can even sell products on your membership site to boost your income.
Wealthy Affiliate focuses on getting organic traffic through Google, using content as the main driver. Sounds like you have that down with your website already. Though if you are struggling to monetize 100k visitors a month, my guess is that you are not creating targeted content, and you are not creating content that lends itself to sales. I would work on doing more research about topics related to your niche, and see if you can find some keywords with more “buyer intent” that relates to your niche!
There’s definitely money to be made with what they teach but because you’re 100% dependent on paid traffic, its also big risks and doing affiliate on paid traffic is definitely not the easiest business model out there because you’re only working with very slim margins. Anyway here’s an example of an Ad I created with Gerry and my MentorMe coach Nick.

Double check yourself, before you double wreck yourself. Make sure everything you send to a company, whether a résumé, an email or a portfolio, is good to go. Double check your grammar and wording, and for God’s sake use spell check! This is especially important when it comes to the company’s name. Don’t spell their name wrong and be sure to type it how they type it (e.g. Problogger, not Pro Blogger).
